Who we are

A cooperative built on trust between colleagues

We are a registered cooperative association, which means we belong to the physicians we serve rather than to outside shareholders. That single fact shapes everything about how we work, from the fees we charge to the way we speak with patients on behalf of our member practices.

Our journey

Milestones along the way

Our history is really the history of the practices we have grown alongside. Here are some of the moments that shaped who we are today.

  1. 1974

    A cooperative is born

A small group of physicians in Bad Segeberg, weary of spending their evenings on invoices instead of their families, pooled their resources to found what would become our association. We started with a handful of member practices and a single shared ledger.

  2. 1983

    Expanding across Schleswig-Holstein

Word travelled between colleagues, and our membership grew well beyond Bad Segeberg. We opened new working relationships with practices throughout the region, building the processes that would let us scale without losing our personal touch.

  3. 1996

    Reaching into Hamburg

We extended our services into Hamburg, welcoming practices in the city and its surrounding districts. This chapter taught us how to support both rural and urban practices with equal care and attention to detail.

  4. 2004

    Modernising our processes

As billing regulations grew more complex, we invested heavily in training and internal systems so our team could keep pace, always aiming to spare our member practices from having to think about the details themselves.

  5. 2015

    Strengthening receivables management

We built a dedicated receivables management team, refining the respectful, patient-first way we follow up on outstanding balances so that practices could count on steadier, more predictable cash flow.

  6. 2024

    Half a century of service

We marked fifty years of standing beside private practices across Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, a milestone we celebrated together with the many member physicians who have trusted us across the generations.

How we are organised

Governed by the practices we serve

As a registered cooperative, we are owned collectively by our member practices, each of whom holds a voice in how the association is run. Our leadership team is elected from among these members, which keeps us accountable to the very people who rely on us daily.

This structure means we have never had to answer to outside investors chasing short-term returns. Instead, our only real obligation is to serve our members well, a responsibility we take seriously in every invoice we send and every phone call we make.

What guides us

The principles behind our daily work

Reliability

We show up consistently, invoice after invoice, so our member practices never have to wonder whether the work is being done.

Integrity

We treat patient information and practice finances with the discretion and honesty we would want for our own affairs.

Partnership

We see every member practice as a partner, not a client, and we measure our success by theirs.
